The Jambudvipa Trust coordinated with the Manuski Trust, the Nagarjuna Training Institute and other organisations to provide relief in Covid, not only in Pune, but in many parts of india.
Last month September 2020, we collected about Rs. 59,986/- through donation from our kind well wishers and donors. This amount helped us to distribute Grocery kit to 72 families in Pune District. The localities covered were: Bhimnagar, Modhikhana, Jadhav Nagar, Tingrnagar, Solapur Bajar, Laxminagar, Maniknagar, Jayjawan Nagar, Hadapsar Ganesh Nagar, Vishrant Wadi, Nehrunagar, Kalwad. All these areas are slum and most of the family members are unemployed, have lost their job recently due to the lockdown in this current Covid19 pandemic. Among the families were daily wage worker, underprivileged families, garbage picker, drivers, widows, tribal communities people.
Also for the school children notebook and compass box was also distributed.
