Jambudvipa is a charitable trust registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act of Charity Regd no. E-2859 (Pune)
Registered by the Income Tax Department under 12 A by letter No. Pn./T/Regn/6836/99-2000 dated 8/7/2000 and exempted under 80 G vide CIRCULAR NO. 7/2010 {F.No.197/21/2010-ITA-I} Dated 27/10/2010.
It is registered to receive foreign funds by the Government of India under FCRA.

Our Vision is of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision of the democracy, pervaded by the ethics of “reverence and respect” towards all, in which all have the means to overcome suffering, live empowered and fulfilling lives, and contribute to a humane and harmonious society.

To create an empowered young people to take this work forward.
Activities
To empower youth, Jambudvipa works in the following areas – ethics, personal development, social awareness, skills for social action, culture, literature, the arts, and entrepreneurship, to fulfill its mission. It does this through;
- training and fellowship programmes, conferences, seminars and workshops;
- supporting other institutions to run such programmes;
- supporting individuals to further their development in these areas;
- supporting projects run by members of the network, based on local initiative and responsibility;
- supporting the development of the network through conferences, workshops, and training;
- building connections with others who share these values;
- exploring and cultivating the relationship between individual ethical practice on the one hand and social activism on the other.
